SBS, Social Behavior Skills, provides support to students who struggle with socialization and behavior. Students participate in one social/study skills class that directly teaches social communication and study skills. It also provides them with real world situations where they can think about what appropriate behavior looks like. We teach social thinking to our students by building skills related to perspective-taking, reciprocal relationships, reading body language, conversation skills, working in groups, and much more. We also teach students executive functioning skills such as binder organization and homework organization, SBS staff also provides support for academic, social, and behavioral skills through inclusion in the general education classroom as well as regular communication with parents and staff.
