SCORES, or Social Communication Resources and Services, provides support to students who struggle with socialization. Students participate in one social/study skills class that directly teaches social communication and study skills. We teach social thinking to our students by building skills related to perspective-taking, reciprocal relationships, reading body language, conversation skills, idiomatic speech, working in groups, and much more. We also teach students executive functioning skills such as binder organization, homework organization, and planning long-term projects. SCORES staff also provide support for academic, social, and behavioral skills through inclusion in the general education classroom as well as regular communication with parents and staff of SCORES students.
