Matador Fest 2018!

Matador Fest 2018

What is Matador Fest?

Matador Fest is our annual Spring Carnival held on campus after school hours. There are all kinds of activities from which the kids can choose! There are also food trucks for those who want a bite to eat during the festival!

When is Matador Fest?

This year, Matador Fest will be held on Friday, April 13th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the school grounds.

Can I pre-purchase my tickets?

Why yes, you can! Use this link to buy all the things you might need!

How can I help?

There are a few ways we could use your help! We will need volunteers the day of the event to help with set-up, watch over the gift baskets that are on display at school, and a few booths that we could use additional adults during the festival.

We are also in need of donations for gift baskets! These are a student favorite! Please consider donating and item you know your kids would want to have at home!

Please contact our chair, Kimberly Richards, at krichards2001@gmail.com to help us out! She can get all the donation details and/or volunteer opportunities delivered directly to your inbox!

Announcing the 2017-2018 Reflections Theme…

Within Reach

Reflections (a national PTA program) has encouraged millions of students to express themselves by giving positive recognition for their artistic efforts. Students may create and submit works of art in six categories: dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, and visual arts. All entries begin at the local school level…

  1. Please ask your student to “reflect” and wonder about how to “Within Reach.”
  2. If inspired, encourage your student to create an “original” work of art. (due Oct. 24)
  3. Go to our MMS link for more details and our school's entry form.

MMS Business Sponsorships!

This file is for a business that is interested in sponsoring the Murchison Middle School for the 2017-2018 school year.

We thank you so much for your interest in partnering with our wonderful school for our 50th Anniversary! It is because of local businesses like yours that we are able to extend and support the learning that takes place!

Secret Pals!

Please support our PTA Secret Pals program!  There are just a few more staff members in need of adoption.

Details: About once per month (or more often if you prefer), provide an ANONYMOUS treat to the staff member for whom you have chosen to be a Secret Pal.  Treats do not need to be expensive! I cannot tell you how much to spend, but no gift is too small. It is truly the thought that counts.

Each staff member has been sent a "Favorites" sheet to fill out which will contain ideas for gifts. I will e-mail you the sheet after receiving your name.  You may bring your gifts to the school office and give to Martha Ladyman or your child can drop the treat off in the front office to be delivered.  There is no storage available to keep things cold or hot.  Thank you for participating!
